Everything but the bagel crispy halloumi fries make for a quick and easy appetizer!

Get ready for one of the most delicious apps ever! If you’re a fan of everything but the bagel seasoning (s/o to Trader Joes), you’re going to like this one! You can’t buy online from Trader Joe’s, but you can buy other brands like this one from Epicure! Halloumi is made from a mixture of goat’s and sheep’s milk. It’s very fun to cook with and can be easily fried or grilled since it has a high melting point. These crispy halloumi fries are actually so easy to make. You’re just going to slice up the halloumi into sections, roll it in flour, egg, and the EBTB season and place in a frying pan. I made a sriracha honey butter to dip these in and let me tell you… do not skip out on this addition! The sweet and savory combo with the salty fries is so good. The sriracha honey butter recipe is below, but you really just need sriracha, honey, and butter and melt it all together – super easy! I love cooking with halloumi and have tested it out in many recipes – be sure to check more out here!

Crispy Halloumi Fries with an Everything But the Bagel Bread Crumb Crust & a Honey Sriracha Dipping Sauce

  • 1 block of halloumi cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs + 1/3 cup everything but the bagel seasoning
  • Fry oil

Sriracha honey butter:

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp hot or regular honey
  • 1 tbsp sriracha


  • Slice halloumi into stick shapes. Prepare 3 shallow bowls, one with eggs, one with flour and one with a combination of the everything but the bagel seasoning and breadcrumbs. Whisk the eggs.
  • Coat each halloumi stick in flour, then whisked eggs, then breadcrumb mixture. Pour fry oil into a large deep skillet. You’ll want enough oil to mostly submerge your halloumi. When oil reached 325, add halloumi fries, about 3 at a time (depending how big your skillet is). Cook for about 2-3 min per side or until nicely golden brown. Transfer to a plate or cooling tray.
  • On low, melt butter in a small skillet. Add honey and sriracha and stir until smooth and combined. Serve with halloumi and enjoy!
