Whipped Feta Dip & Honey Balsamic Strawberries

This Whipped Feta Dip & Honey Balsamic Strawberries is a sweet & savory easy summer app ready in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

The Whipped Feta Dip

  • 6 oz Feta cheese preferably in block form, not pre-crumbled
  • 1/3 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
  • 1 tsp Black sesame seeds
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper

Balsamic Strawberries

  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries with their ends removed
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey hot or regular honey

The rest:

  • Fresh mint for topping
  • More black sesame seeds for topping
  • Toasted sourdough

Instructions

  • For the Feta: In a food processor, combine the feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, basil and black sesame seeds.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. If the dip is too thick, add a splash more olive oil or a tiny bit of water to loosen. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add strawberries to a skillet and add balsamic and honey. Cook for about 2-3 minutes just until its bubbling and strawberries have softened slightly. You don't want them too mushy.
  • Add feta dip to a bowl and spread in an even layer. Top with strawberries and garnish with fresh mint and more black sesame seeds. Serve with pieces of toasted sourdough bread. Enjoy!
