Seacuterie Board

Enjoy smoked fish by creating a “Seacuterie Board” which is similar to a Charcuterie board but with smoky fish treat and lots of accutramonts. This “Seacuterie Board” is a seafood lover’s dream, featuring an elegant trio of smoked salmon, creamy salmon salad, and sweet-salty hot smoked salmon candy.

This “Seacuterie Board” is a seafood lover’s dream, featuring an elegant trio of smoked salmon, creamy salmon salad, and sweet-salty hot smoked salmon candy. The mix of textures and flavors—from silky to smoky to caramelized—makes it a stunning centerpiece for any holiday spread or brunch table. Serve it with crackers, fresh herbs, lemon wedges, and a little cream cheese for a show-stopping, ocean-inspired twist on the classic charcuterie board.

I filled in the rest of the board with pickled crunchy veggies, avocado, toasted bagels, crackers, and sourdough crostinis but you can really pair with whatever you want.

How to make a Seacuterie Board

  • Make your base: I used a simple baking sheet for the vessel, and then added pink and white rock salt to make a base for everything. Ice is another option, but since nothing was raw here, no reason to deal with melting ice! I then anchored 2 large shells on each side of the board (ordered on Amazon, bowls would also work great here!).
  • Add the mains: I then added my 3 fish mains to the board, including the salad in the shells and then smoked salmon and salmon candy in the middle of the board. I added some everything bagel seasoning, dill and capers to the salad and I used layered thin slices of radish underneath the smoked salmon and salmon candy for some color, and to separate it from the rock salt.
  • Fill in the rest: From there, I filled in all my other fixins. I added some of the smaller garnishes (pickled shallots, capers and pickled peppers) to small bowls and then added the other veggies, crackers and carbs all around. I topped everything with pomegranate seeds for a festive twist and then topped everything with more everything bagel seasoning.

Notes

Note: You could also do this with tin fish or whatever kind of seafood you like. I like Acme smoked fish because it’s great year round and easy to source all the delicious seafood.
