Another way to level up avocado toast: this is a pear avocado toast with feta, crushed hazelnuts and balsamic glaze. This was my first time trying pear on avocado toast and it was a great mix of sweet and savory. The balsamic, feta and hazelnuts add so much flavor as well.
Pear avocado toast with feta, crushed hazelnuts and balsamic glaze
- Bread of choice
- Ripe pear
- Lemon juice
- Olive oil
- Balsamic glaze
- Feta crumbles
- Red pepper flakes
- Sea salt
- Add avocado to a bowl and combine with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, olive oil and lemon juice. Mash until smooth.
- Coat bread in olive oil and cook in a pan for about 2-3 min per side. Add avocado to bread.
- Slice pears and crush hazelnuts. Add on top of avocado mash. Top with feta crumbles and balsamic glaze.
