Spicy chili bacon jam, gruyere and a sunny side egg grilled cheese

This grilled cheese has a special kick with spicy chili bacon jam!

The Deets

Save this one for a rainy day! This recipe is for a spicy chili bacon jam, gruyere and a sunny side egg grilled cheese. This one might seem like a weird combo but trust me, it’s delicious. I recommend using sourdough to ensure your grilled cheese has that pillowy softness, and irresistible crispiness. For the fiery kick in this sandy, I used the spicy chili bacon jam from Stonewall Kitchen. It’s the secret ingredient that elevates this sandwich! Its bold flavor takes this grilled cheese to the next level. My favorite cheese to use in a grilled cheese is gruyere – a smooth-melting, creamy, cow’s milk cheese. Its nutty flavor profile pairs perfectly with the contrast of the spicy chili bacon jam. Plus, the sunny side egg adds an extra layer of texture and flavor that just makes this just divine. My favorite thing about grilled cheese sandwiches is the creativity you can have with them!
