This burrata toast is topped with a hot honey butter and is simply the perfect sweet and savory combo.
The Deets
I’ve always had an unhealthy obsession with hot honey – it’s one of those ingredients that I just can’t get enough of. I put it on everything from pizza to fried chicken, and it’s always a game-changer. So, it’s really no surprise that I’ve somehow taken my love for it to the next level. Let me introduce you to my latest creation: roasted garlic and burrata toast with a hot honey butter drizzled on top. It’s like everything I love in one dish, and honestly, it’s so, so good.
The base is a perfectly toasted piece of bread that’s crispy on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. Then comes the creamy, decadent burrata cheese, which just melts into the toast in the best way. To elevate it even further, I roast some garlic until it’s soft and sweet, adding a depth of flavor that’s irresistible. Now, here’s where it gets interesting: I make a hot honey butter by combining that golden, spicy hot honey with rich, smooth butter. The heat from the honey combined with the creaminess of the butter creates this delicious, slightly spicy, and sweet drizzle that I pour over the burrata toast.
When you take a bite, the combination of creamy cheese, sweet roasted garlic, and spicy-sweet honey butter is absolutely heavenly. It’s the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spicy – everything you could want in one bite. Whether you’re having it as a snack, an appetizer, or even as part of a larger meal, this dish will surely wow anyone who tries it. Honestly, I can’t get enough of it. Trust me, if you’re a fan of hot honey, you need to make this. Let me know what you think if you give it a try! If you enjoyed this toast, check out my other toast recipes here.
