This caper Caesar salad is so good and salty, with finely chopped capers, minced garlic, and toasted breadcrumbs mixed directly into the dressing for a rich, savory twist.

The Deets
Anchovies seem to be one of those divisive ingredients that people either passionately love or strongly dislike. Personally, I’ve always been on the fence, but a recent dining experience inspired me to rethink my stance. I was at a restaurant enjoying a Caesar salad that, to my surprise, skipped the traditional anchovies and used capers instead. The result was so flavorful and unique that I knew I had to try recreating it at home. After a bit of experimentation, I discovered the secret to capturing that salty, savory goodness lies in adding finely chopped capers, minced garlic, and toasted breadcrumbs directly into the dressing. These ingredients not only replace the anchovies but also create a rich, textured flavor profile that elevates the entire salad. It’s a simple twist that makes the classic Caesar feel fresh and exciting! Let me know what you think in the comments if you make this caper caesar salad – I know I will be making it on repeat.
