Buttery mushrooms, burrata and truffle toast

This burrata truffle toast is what toast dreams are made of!

The Deets

This toast has all my favorite things: buttery herb mushrooms, burrata, and summer black truffles on toast. I got the truffles as part of my gift box from Tasty Ribbon. Tasty Ribbon is a small, woman-founded company that makes gourmet gift boxes of Italian products, sourced from artisans all across Italy. Their boxes are full of different ingredients and products to cook with, and great for appetizers, sauces and the list goes on. This toast is really easy to make and doesn’t involve too many steps. You’ll cook up your mushrooms in butter and thyme and get them nice and soft. Then toast up your sourdough bread and layer on the creamy burrata cheese. Top it with the mushrooms and truffle and your lunch is served! Another idea, is you could cut this up and serve it as an appetizer at a party. I love anything with burrata and truffle, it’s usually a crowd-pleaser! If you liked this toast recipe, definitely check out my other recipes here to find more inspo!

  • Bread of choice
  • Burrata
  • About 1 cup of mushrooms (I used one of those variety packs)
  • A few sprigs of thyme
  • 1-2 tbsp butter
  • Sea salt and pepper
  • Summer black truffles
  • Olive oil

  • Clean mushrooms and add to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Let them brown and release some liquid. After about 5 min, add butter and thyme to the skillet.
  • Cook until mushrooms are tender, about another 5 min or so. Transfer to a plate. Coat bread in olive oil and add to skillet. Cook for 2-3 min per side.
  • Add burrata to toast and top with the mushrooms. Add a few black truffles and enjoy!
