Smoked Salmon Bake

The Deets:

If you know me, you know I’m absolutely obsessed with smoked salmon, and I’ll happily eat it on just about anything. But let me tell you, this breakfast bake is a whole new level of deliciousness – it seriously takes the cake! Picture this: goat cheese and smoked salmon wrapped in flaky puff pastry, all topped with a generous sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning. It’s the perfect balance of creamy, savory, and a little crunch, and your guests will definitely think you spent hours in the kitchen – when in reality, it’s quick and effortless to throw together.

The base of this dish is a rich, creamy blend of goat cheese and Parmesan, which gives it the perfect creamy texture. Then, I layer on eggs and smoked salmon, creating a protein-packed breakfast that’s as filling as it is indulgent. The puff pastry crisps up beautifully, providing the perfect contrast to the creamy filling, and the everything bagel seasoning adds that signature burst of flavor that ties it all together.

It’s a dish that looks impressive but doesn’t require much effort, making it ideal for breakfast or brunch with friends and family. Trust me, once you try this breakfast bake, it’ll become a go-to recipe you’ll make again and again. It’s perfect for any occasion—from lazy weekends to special gatherings. Let me know if you try it—I promise your taste buds will thank you! Check out more breakfast ideas here

Here’s how to make it:

Smoked salmon puff pastry breakfast bake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 sheet puff pastry, thawed (I used store-bought) (I ended up only using have the sheet just because I was only making this for 2, but if you’re making it for 2+ I would double the recipe)
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning, or enough to get the whole crust
  • A few tbsps goat cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated parm
  • 2 eggs
  • Smoked salmon (probably about 2 sheet layers)
  • 2 tbsp pickled shallots
  • 2 tbsp caper berries
  • A few sprigs of dill

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. Lay out puff pastry onp archment paper and lightly score the sides with a fork. Brush egg wash over crust and then top with everything bagel seasoning. Sprinkle parm over the middle so that it is all covered. Add little dots of goat cheese on top as well. Par bake for 10 min.
  • Remove and crack 2 eggs on top. The eggs ran abit, so if you want to contain them you can build little walls with the cheese.I didn’t mind the eggs being overtop so its a personal preference. Bake again for another 7 min or until eggs cooked.
  • Remove and top with smoked salmon, caper berries, pickled shallots and dill. Enjoy!
