Cinnamon Butter & Hot Honey Apple Crostinis

These quick and easy apple crostinis make for a great fall appetizer!

Kicking off Fall appetizer season with these cinnamon butter & hot honey apple crostinis with creamy goat cheese (bijou to be exact) and pomegranate. These crostinis are a melt in your mouth treat and SO easy to make. My favorite part about this recipe is cooking the apple slices and then pouring honey right into the pan. They get coated and it feels so much like Fall.

The apple mixture on top is such a crowd pleaser and you can get really creative with adding to other ingredients like pomegranate. These little toasts will sure to jazz up the app table at your next fall party.

Cinnamon Butter & Hot Honey Apple Crostinis

Ingredients

Serves 12 Crostinis
  • 1 baguette
  • 1 pomegranate
  • Olive oil for toasting
  • 1 gala apple
  • 2 tsp cinnamon plus more for dusting overtop
  • 1 tbsp hot or regular honey
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Vermont Creamery Bijou cheese you can get this at Whole Foods or wherever you can get Vermont Creamery. If you can’t get ahold of this cheese, a brie or other creamy cheese would also be delicious

Instructions

  • Slice baguette and coat with olive oil. Working in batches, cook for 2-3 min per side in a skillet until both sides of the crostinis are nicely browned.
  • Chop apple into small bite sized slices. Melt butter in a pan and add apples and hot honey. Cook until apples soften. Dust cinnamon overtop. Cook for another min or 2.
  • Add cheese to each crostini, and then top with buttery apples, including some of that browned butter. Top each with a few pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
