This is a recreation of The “Stanley Tucci” Italian Sandwich with simple and super tasty ingredients.

The Stanley Tucci Italian sandwich is made up off simple yet absolutely delicious ingredients. Starting off with toasted sourdough, and then served with prosciutto cotto, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh basil. Finish with flaky sea salt. This version is served with a homemade pesto.

The “Stanley Tucci” Italian Sandwich
Ingredients
For the pesto:
- 3/4 cup basil leaves (arugula or spinach)
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- Salt/pepper
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
The rest:
- Fresh baguette
- Prosciutto
- Buffalo mozzarella
- Shredded mozzarella
- Olive oil for toasting
Instructions
- In a food processor, blend pesto ingredients and season to taste.
- Preheat oven to 350. Add pesto to baguette and top with shredded mozzarella, followed by prosciutto, then buffalo mozzarella.
- Close sandwich and add some olive to a large oven safe skillet. Cook on medium to low heat for about 2-3 min to get bread crispy. Transfer to oven for about 7 more min or until cheesy is super melty. Enjoy!
