Whipped Feta Toast with Olives & Pine Nuts

Savory whipped feta toast is the perfect afternoon treat.

The Deets

What truly elevates this toast is the irresistibly creamy whipped feta. It’s a game changer—rich, tangy, and so easy to make. To create this dreamy spread, all you’ll need is some good-quality feta cheese, Greek yogurt, fresh sage for a hint of earthiness, a drizzle of honey for sweetness, and a pinch of sea salt to bring it all together. My personal favorite sea salt is from Maldon. Simply add everything to a food processor, blend until smooth, and voilà—you’ve got yourself an incredible topping!

For the base, I went with sourdough bread, which I toasted to perfection. The slightly crunchy exterior pairs so well with the creamy feta. To finish it off, I added green olives for a burst of briny flavor, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, and toasted pine nuts for crunch. The combination is unbeatable—each bite is packed with layers of flavor, from salty to sweet to spicy. It’s simple yet absolutely delicious and bursting with fresh, vibrant ingredients. Ingredients

Hot honey whipped fets

  • 7 oz 7 oz fresh feta cheese
  • 3 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp EVOO
  • 4 sprigs sage
  • 2 tsp regular or hot honey
  • flaky sea salt and pepper

The rest

  • Bread of choice
  • 1 tsp pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp green olives, sliced
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Using a food processor, add your feta, yogurt, olive oil, 2 tbsp of honey a pinch of salt and pepper. Once combined, check for taste and consistency. Feta should be creamy and smooth. Add in a little more greek yogurt and olive oil if it needs a little more creaminess.
  • Coat bread in olive oil and cook for about 2-3 min per side.
  • Add whipped feta to toast and top with olives, pine nuts and red pepper flakes.
