This Fig & Cheese Toast with Hot Honey & Mint is an easy, 6 ingredient snack that is fresh, delicious & easily customizable.

This Fig & Cheese Toast with Hot Honey & Mint is the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and a little spicy. The mild, spreadable cheese lays a rich foundation for juicy fresh figs, while a drizzle of hot honey brings just the right kick to wake up your taste buds. Fresh mint leaves add brightness and fragrance, making each bite feel fresh and layered with flavor. Served on hearty, toasted sourdough, it’s simple enough for a quick snack yet special enough to impress.
This combination is endlessly customizable—swap in peaches or berries when figs are out of season, add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for contrast, or layer on some prosciutto for a savory touch. The tangy chew of sourdough pairs beautifully with the creamy cheese and sweet-spicy topping, creating a toast that feels rustic and elevated all at once. It’s a versatile recipe you’ll want to make on repeat, whether for breakfast, lunch, or a light appetizer.
