This Turkey Grinder Sandwich is layered with sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and dressed in a zesty vinaigrette for a bite that's layered with flavor. In about 15 minutes, you can have this classic deli-style sandwich ready to enjoy for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Serves 4 Sandwiches

The creamy dressing:

  • 3 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1/3 cup cherry peppers, chopped or banana peppers
  • 1/3 cup sliced olives green or black
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper
  • Pinch of oregano

The rest:

  • 2 avocados, sliced 1/2 avocado per sandwich
  • 3/4 lb turkey
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 16 Cheddar slices 4 per sandwich
  • Sesame hoagie roll

Instructions 

  • In a large bowl. Combine all dressing ingredients. Add the iceberg, tomato, cherry pepper, and olives. Toss to combine and season to taste.
  • Slice roll and spread with mayo. Top with sliced turkey and cheese. Toast with the cheddar until melted.
  • Add the avocado, red onion, and creamy lettuce mixture. Place the top bun and enjoy!

It's best to eat this sandwich right away for the best flavor and textures. You can store each ingredient individually to make a fresh sandwich the next day.
