Slice your bagel into 3 equal pieces. If you are making pesto from scratch, combine pesto ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Season to taste.
Assemble the rest of your bagel toppings: cook bacon in a pan a pan until desired crispiness, Slice avocado, cheese and tomato.
Toast bottom two pieces of the bagel, and add top of bagel to a pan with a little butter. Crack an egg in the middle. Optional to add grated cheese on top. Reduce heat to low and cover pan. Let egg cook until no longer runny, about 10 min.
Bagel assembly: You can really top in whatever order you want, but I did: a layer of pesto, tomato and bacon, then the middle of the bagel, then another layer of pesto, avocado and cheddar cheese. Top with egg bagel and enjoy!
